Simple Halloween songs for young ESL Learners

Dream English Kids Halloween - What Do You See? Song | Find It Version | Dream English Kids

It's a great song for young learners to practice Halloween vocabulary with a simple "I see..." sentence structure. It includes a find the vocabulary game, which you can play with flashcards or write the words on the board if not using the song as a video.

Vocabulary included: bat, black cat, jack o' lantern, haunted house, owl, pumpkin patch, scarecrow, spider, trick-o-treaters, witch's cauldron.

Dream English Kids: Halloween What Do You See? Song | Fun Actions | Learn English Kids

Another Dream English song, this one includes some actions "fly, run, hop". Vocabulary included: pumpkin, owl, bat, ghost, mummmy, spider, black cat, werewolf, pirate, monster.

Toddler World TV: Halloween Counting Song for Kids | Educational song & animation for children

A Fun Cartoon song counting numbers 1-10 with a Halloween twist for young learners.

Super Simple Songs: If I Were A Ghost | Kids Hallowen Song | Super Simple Songs

A fun song, make sure to do actions as you sing: robot, cat, ghost, pirate, witch, werewolf.

Super Simple Songs: The Skeleton Dance | Halloween Song for Kids | Super Simple Songs

I like the Skeleton Dance, especially the "wiggle, wiggle, wiggle..." part. Another fun Super Simple Song.

Wheels On The Bus With Five Skeletons + Spooky Scary Skeletons Songs By Teehee Town

This video contains two songs. It might be better to teach and sing the song first without showing the video, as the kids enjoy watching it and might get distracted. I used the video as a special treat for the kids to watch after they had learned the song.

If you’re looking for a fun 10-minute activity to get kids up and moving with a Halloween theme, you might like this idea. Although it’s not specifically designed for ESL, you can teach some commands like “punch,” “chop,” “grab,” and “freeze.” Have the children say the vocabulary words as they perform the actions, such as “candy,” “ghost,” and “freeze.”

P.E with Mr G: Halloween Races! A Halloween Brain Break Activity | Halloween Games For Kids | GoNoodle Inspired

Another fun 5-minute "brain break" activity to get kids up and moving. Have 2 teams choose one racer per round and one Halloween character, they then have to run on the spot to see who is the winner!
